Ty J. Hagen, P.E.
Ty has 30+ years experience in the design of steel plate structures. He is a member of several API committees and is past chairman of the API Subcommittee on Manufacturers and Contractors. In 2010 Ty was recognized for 25 years of service on API CRE AST committees. Hagen has a B.S. in civil engineering from the University of Illinois and is a registered professional engineer in 24 states and a registered General Contractor in 2 states.
Ty has had the opportunity in his career to be responsible for a variety of operational groups including Engineering, Drafting, Production Control, Marketing, Estimating and Business Development.

Doug Bayless, P.E.
Doug Bayles, P.E. has over 22 years of engineering experience in design, construction and maintenance of bulk petroleum facilities worldwide. As a licensed Professional Engineer in 48 States, and also Guam, Alberta, Canada and Saskatchewan, Canada, Doug has expertly designed, constructed and maintained commercial and military terminal facilities throughout the US and abroad. Additionally, he is a certified API 653 Inspector #1904 and Certified STI-SP001 Inspector.
In addition to his experience in the petroleum industry, Doug worked in the design and construction of water and wastewater tanks, including fire protection tanks, elevated water storage tanks and municipal drinking water tanks.
Doug’s professional expertise has been recognized by his colleagues as demonstrated by being selected to be a member on the API Committee on Refining Equipment – Subcommittee on Above Ground Storage Tanks. His petroleum specification knowledge includes: API – 570, 653, 650, 510, 520, 1104, Std & RP’s; ASME B31.1, B31.3, B31.4, and B31.8.,UFC, UL, ANSI, AWWA, ASCE, and NFPA codes and various industry standards in conjunction with OSHA, EPA and DOT government regulations (40 CFR 112 and 280, 49 CFR 191, 192 and 195). In addition to his Professional Engineering certification Mr. Bayles has obtained his California Qualified Stormwater Designer Certification.
Doug received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana.

Manager CAD Services
Since 1985, Joel has gained project detailing and drafting experience in the steel plate construction industry. He possesses a thorough working knowledge of API STD 650, API STD 620, ASME and AWWA D-100. Nickerson has a degree in Mechanical Drafting from Nicollet College in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
Joel knows that innovative ideas and unique solutions are great, but getting them built entails getting it on paper clearly and accurately. Combine that with todays fast pace business environment, Joel has learned to optimize the use of the latest and best practices of AutoCad detailing.

Jason has 15 plus years of project detailing and drafting experience in the steel plate construction industry. He possesses a thorough working knowledge of API STD 650, API STD 620, ASME and AWWA D-100. Jason has a degree in Architectural Drafting from Northwest Technical Institute in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. Jason also completed one course in welding at Saint Paul Technical College and completed the OSHA 10 hour Construction program. Jason has learned to optimize the use of the latest and best practices of AutoCad detailing.
